Leaked Marketing Materials Show 41mm Pixel Watch 3 to Have 10% More Screen Space
Google's upcoming Pixel Watch 3 is set to impress with a larger screen, thinner bezels, and a new 45mm model, according to leaked marketing materials shared by Android Headlines. The leaks suggest significant upgrades in display brightness, battery life, and new fitness features, setting the stage for an exciting hardware event on August 13th.

Larger Screen and Thinner Bezels
The 41mm Pixel Watch 3 is rumored to offer 10% more screen space compared to its predecessor, thanks to the reduction in bezel size. This enhancement will allow users to enjoy a more immersive display experience without increasing the overall size of the watch.
Improved Display and Charging
In addition to a larger screen, the Pixel Watch 3 could feature a brighter display, reaching up to 2,000 nits, which is double the peak brightness of the Pixel Watch 2. This increase in brightness will make the watch easier to read in direct sunlight. The new model is also expected to support 20% faster charging, ensuring users spend less time tethered to a charger.
Battery Life and Power Management
The leaked spec sheet confirms the introduction of a 45mm model alongside the 41mm version. Both sizes are reported to offer up to 24 hours of battery life with the always-on display enabled, or up to 36 hours with a new Battery Saver mode. Interestingly, the Pixel Watch 3 might not utilize the "hybrid interface" introduced in Wear OS 4, which is designed to extend battery life up to 100 hours of regular use. This feature currently appears to be exclusive to the OnePlus Watch 2.
Enhanced Fitness and Health Features
Fitness enthusiasts will appreciate the new features hinted at in the leaks. The Pixel Watch 3 is expected to introduce custom runs and provide "audio and haptic cues" to guide users through their workouts, including prompts for sprinting, cooling down, or maintaining pace. Additionally, a new Fitbit "morning brief" will summarize health and fitness metrics, helping users plan their day and workouts effectively. Google has a history of rolling out new features to older models, so these updates might also be available for previous Pixel Watch versions.
Smart Home and Connectivity Improvements
The marketing materials also highlight new smart home and connectivity features. Users will be able to access offline Google Maps and view live feeds from Nest Cam and Nest Doorbell directly on the watch via the Google Home app. Furthermore, the watch will offer seamless control over the Pixel phone's camera app, allowing easy switching between photo and video modes. Although ultra-wideband support for enhanced location tracking was previously leaked, it is not mentioned in the latest marketing materials.
Upcoming Google Hardware Event
With Google's hardware event scheduled for August 13th, tech enthusiasts won't have to wait long to see the official unveiling of the Pixel Watch 3. The event is also expected to feature the heavily leaked Pixel 9 lineup, promising an exciting array of new devices from Google.
