Keypad and Dialpad combo promises to speed up creative workflows for Adobe users.
Logitech is expanding its creative toolset with the launch of the MX Creative Console, a device that combines a keypad and dialpad, designed to streamline tasks in applications like Adobe Photoshop and Premiere Pro. Priced at $199.99 (approximately ₹16,700), this console is aimed at creators looking to speed up their workflow with customizable controls.
Features Tailored for Creators
Logitech’s MX Creative Console offers plugins tailored for Adobe apps such as Photoshop, Lightroom Classic, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, and Illustrator. For instance, in Premiere Pro, the console’s dialpad lets users easily scrub through timelines, while buttons around the dial provide quick access to essential functions like undo.
The roller feature is particularly useful for navigating timelines or adjusting zoom levels for precision edits. In Photoshop, the dial can be used to adjust brush sizes or zoom in and out, making detailed edits more efficient.
Streamlined Control for Creative Projects
The main keypad, resembling Elgato’s popular Stream Deck, features nine customizable LCD keys that can be programmed to launch apps or control specific features within creative applications. With two page buttons at the bottom, users can store up to 15 pages of custom keys for each application, significantly enhancing multitasking capabilities.
All controls can be customized via Logitech’s Creative Console app, allowing for drag-and-drop presets tailored to specific apps. This feature helps automate repetitive tasks that typically require multiple clicks or memorizing complex keyboard shortcuts.
Precision and Flexibility
The dialpad, with its analog precision tools, may make this console worth its ₹16,700 price tag for professionals. The combination of a dial and roller offers a level of control over creative applications that’s hard to replicate using a traditional mouse and keyboard setup.
Available in India Soon
Logitech’s MX Creative Console will be available in two color options: pale grey and graphite. It comes bundled with a three-month subscription to Adobe Creative Cloud, a value-added offer for creators. The main keypad connects via USB-C, while the dialpad can connect through Bluetooth or Logitech’s Bolt dongle (sold separately).
Pre-orders are open now, with the device shipping starting from October 14th. As the ₹16,700 console enters a competitive market with tools like TourBox Elite, Loupedeck Creative Tool, and Elgato’s Stream Deck, Logitech’s offering aims to stand out with its precise control and workflow customization for professional creators.
