The new earbuds come with advanced noise cancellation and a convenient battery status display.
Anker has unveiled its new Soundcore Liberty 4 Pro wireless earbuds, which come equipped with advanced noise cancelation features and quicker charging than their predecessors. However, the standout feature is the charging case, which now includes a screen that displays the battery status and allows for settings adjustment, like toggling between Active Noise Cancelation (ANC) and transparency mode.
Priced at $129.99 (approximately ₹10,830), the Liberty 4 Pro is more affordable than its previous models. The 2022 Soundcore Liberty 4 retailed for $149.99 (around ₹12,500), and the Liberty 3 Pro from 2021 had a price tag of $169.99 (about ₹14,160).
A Handy Screen on the Charging Case
The addition of a screen to the Liberty 4 Pro’s charging case is a helpful tool for users who are always concerned about battery life. This isn’t a novel idea in the wireless earbud world, though, as JBL introduced a 1.45-inch touchscreen to its Tour Pro 2 charging case in 2023. The JBL case allowed users to control playback, adjust volume, tweak EQ settings, and even receive notifications from a connected smartphone. However, Anker’s Liberty 4 Pro charging case focuses more on simpler functions, such as adjusting ANC or transparency modes via a small touch bar located below the screen.
Powerful Sound and Extended Battery Life
The Liberty 4 Pro earbuds boast impressive battery life. On a full charge, the earbuds can run for 10 hours with ANC turned off or 7.5 hours with ANC activated. When paired with the charging case, the total playtime extends to 40 hours (30 hours with ANC on). For those moments when the earbuds run out of battery, a quick five-minute charge provides an additional four hours of playtime. The case itself supports both USB-C and wireless charging.
Superior Sound Quality and Bluetooth Support
Anker’s new Liberty 4 Pro model uses a 10.5-millimeter bass driver coupled with a 4.6-millimeter titanium-coated tweeter to deliver enhanced sound quality. Six microphones — three on each bud — power the ANC feature, and a barometric sensor optimizes noise cancelation, particularly useful during air travel.
The earbuds come with Bluetooth 5.3 support and can connect to multiple devices simultaneously. In terms of audio codecs, they support SBC, AAC, and LDAC, with LDAC available for Android devices.
Built for Active Lifestyles
With spatial audio support that tracks head movements and an IPX5 water resistance rating, these earbuds are perfect for workouts or outdoor use. Users can wear them in the rain or during intense workouts without worrying about damage.
The Liberty 4 Pro is available in three stylish color options: glossy black, white, and glossy light blue. They can be purchased from Anker’s official website or Amazon.
Final Thoughts
Anker’s Soundcore Liberty 4 Pro wireless earbuds strike an appealing balance between functionality and affordability. The addition of the screen to the charging case adds a new layer of convenience, while the overall sound quality, battery life, and ANC make these earbuds a solid option for both everyday use and travel.
